Leslie & Bennet tie the knot in Iceland!

I wonder how many more versions of “ getting married in Iceland “ I can find before I resort to a more original title. Well just stay tuned! ( I will too, as I have no idea how this will turn out) .

Like most couples that come here, L&B were in love with Iceland for a while before saying their vows in gorgeous Snæfellsnes. A peninsula that is known locally for being a dramatic and sometimes even magical place. Like really magical! It’s star, Snæfellsjökull (Snæfells glacier) is visible all the way from Reykjavík and has a very big reputation for being a place where weird stuff happens. Like in the nineties when a group of adults went up there because they believed aliens were coming to get them (they didn’t). Or in the lava fields below that was evidently used by Iceland’s first (only) serial killer back in the 1500’s. For what, I cant say as I wasn’t there, but creepy right?

But to focus on the gorgeous couple in hand, B&L.

Leslie kind of had me right away from the first email. We wrote back and forth a couple of times over 18 months or so and she was so charming I just knew they were gonna be amazing.

And they were. What a day we had together. Their family and friends gathered on the top of Djúpalónssandur while Inga the officiant played the ukulele. All the tears and all the laughs.
